This award recognized his role as an ambassador of the land, and his depiction of the way its grandeur nourishes the human spirit and confronts us with our responsibility to respect it, care for it, and live with integrity upon it.

Some of Milne's many awards include the Gold Medal for Distinction in Photography from the Canadian Association for Photographic Arts, and a nomination for one of Canada's highest honors, the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts.
