Angel Falls, Voice of the Inca Gods

Known locally as Tulume Bena, or Big River Falls, Angel Falls plummets more than 3,000 ft., the highest in the world, into a valley in the spectacular Canaima wilderness area of Venezuela. The foot of the falls was considered a dangerous sacred place to the Kamara Cota Indians before the Spanish conquest of South America in the sixteenth century. Great harm, perhaps death would come to you if you went there.

If indeed the base of the falls is a dangerous place, and further downstream is a double rainbow, where would you picture yourself in the scene?

How much danger do you experience in your life? Is it balanced with security, protection, clarity, and vision?

Some areas of the jungle are blurred with mist while other points, like the top of the falls are crystal clear. Where would you like to be?

Is there a path to get there?

What does your pathway look like?

What small steps can you take to achieve your goals?

Are there blue skies in your picture?

Make this image a part of your inner landscape and draw upon it whenever needed. Finding a deep inner peace in our lives comes from within, not external rewards or praise from others. Consider also that without torrential rains the falls would not be as dramatic. Sometimes they dry up completely.

Revisit the photograph now and reconsider how connected you are to life's journey. Remember you don't have to be at the top of the mountain in order to see the rainbows downstream.
