1) Quick Access to E-Calendar - Daily Greeting & Login

  • Beginning on your start date, you will receive a daily email greeting sent to your inbox with a link to the e-calendar.*
  • You’ll need to enter your user name (email address) and password the first time, and you can ask your browser to remember it for easy access every day.**
  • If you've forgotten your password, don't worry. Click "Forgot Password" and follow the instructions. The system will immediately email you a new confidential password that you can edit once you're logged in.

*If you are using a Daily Greeting from a previous day, it will still direct you to today's e-calendar page.  To access previous day's e-calendar pages, go to today's page and click on Archive.  See #5 below for more information.

**If you are accessing the e-calendar from a public computer it is not advised to ask the browser to remember you.

If you are having trouble viewing/using your Daily Greeting, please refer to Troubleshooting in section 7 below.

In Your Daily Greeting Email:
You can either click on the image or on "CLICK HERE To Enter Today At The Pool".
Once Inside The Calendar, use the navigation buttons on the right to access:

E-Card: an opportunity to send e-cards with the day's image and your message
Archives: where you can access all of the above for every day since the beginning of your subscription

2) Make Sure You Receive Our E-Mail
Please ensure that your daily email greeting/link doesn’t end up in your Bulk or Junk folder, or that it isn’t blocked completely. Internet Service Providers (eg. earthlink.net, comcast.net) and Web-based mail services (eg. Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail) use filters to keep spam out of your inbox. This means that some e-mail that you actually want may accidentally be filtered out.

By following the steps below, you can make sure that the mail you've requested from us isn't accidentally marked as spam.

Do you Use Web-based Mail such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail?
Check your Bulk, Junk and Spam folders. If you find an e-mail there from poolofpossibilities@courtneymilne.com, or any other @courtneymilne.com address, click on it and indicate that it is not bulk, junk or spam. It's a similar process for all major Web-based e-mail services (eg. AOL's).

Hotmail: Click the Options link on the main menu tabs, then Safe List. Add our address to the Safe List.

Yahoo!: Click Mail Options > Filters > Add Filter and add our address.

Do You Use Client-side E-mail Software such as Outlook or Eudora?
Your ISP may actually filter out e-mail before it ever reaches you.  Here is what we recommend:

AOL (aol.com): Log into your AOL/AIM Webmail Account and add the following to your Address Book (click the Add Address button to add to your "People I Know" list).:
- poolofpossibilities@courtneymilne.com
- ezine@courtneymilne.com
- info@courtneymilne.com
Check AOL's help for additional details, if required. You could also indicate "not spam" in AOL's Webmail.

For other ISPs
(ex., att.net, attglobal.net, bellsouth.net, earthlink.net, verizon.net, comcast.net), use their Web-based e-mail to indicate that the above addresses are not spam.

3) Daily Greetings: Stop Receiving Them When Away For Holidays, etc.
If you are going to be away on holidays or are otherwise unable to access your emails on a daily basis, you can choose to temporarily interrupt your daily email greetings.

  • Simply login at www.courtneymilne.com and click on “Edit Account Info” which will appear in the left navigation bar once you login.
  • You’ll find the yes/no question prompt in the subscriber information at the bottom of the page.
  • Click "No" before you go and don't forget to go back and click "Yes" when you want the emails to start again.

You can also edit your contact information and password here.

4) Web Site Access to e-Calendar
You can also access the e-calendar from the website at www.courtneymilne.com , once you’ve logged in. The e-Calendar link will appear immediately under "Welcome (Your Name)!".

5) Your Personal Archive
If you’re away from your computer for an extended period of time, don’t worry. You can access the e-calendar days you’ve missed (beginning from your start date) by clicking Archive inside today's e-calendar pages.

6) Your Private Journal
Your journal entry is never stored online. It is as private as your computer. To keep your journal entry, you can:

  • journal online and click the "Create PDF" button (Portable Document Format which downloads your entry onto your computer for saving and printing) ;
  • download a blank pdf, print it and write your journal entry by hand.

If you require more space than the 3100 characters that the window allows, create and save your first part and then return to the journal page to write and create a pdf for the second part.

Leaving the Journal window will automatically delete what you have written.  So make sure to create a pdf before exiting this part of the e-calendar.

7) Troubleshooting

a) Your calendar subscription isn't starting:
If your subscription was a gift, click hereIf you were the buyer, follow these steps:

  1. Did you receive the email named "Please Activate Your Pool of Possibilities Subscription"?  This confirms that your payment was processed and allows you to enter the system to activate your subscription.  We process your payment as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.
  2. Go to www.courtneymilne.com and login (bottom of navigation bar) using your email address (username) and password (that you chose when purchasing the subscription).  If you've forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password" and you'll receive an email within minutes with a new password. Use this to login.
  3. Under Welcome (Your Name)! in the left navigation bar (where login used to be), go to View Orders. Your order should be listed there with 2 red buttons: "View Orders" and "Product Subscriptions".  If your payment hasn't been processed yet, there will only be a "View Order" button.  Please wait until you receive your confirmation email (see point 1 above).
  4. Click on Product Subscriptions. What do you see under the grey bar? If you have active subscriptions, there will be a name, start date and email address.  Check these carefully.
    - If your name is there and the start date and email address is correct, it is possible that our Daily Greeting email is being blocked by your spam guard.  See our advice on Whitelisting.
    - if your email address is incorrect, click on Edit Account Info and change it, confirm it, then click on "Update Login Information".  Do not enter your password, unless you want to change it.
  5. If there is no name under the grey bar but instead you have the sentence "You may add (#) product subscriber(s) for this order. Please fill out the form provided.", then your subscription isn't in the system.  Please fill out the form.  If it's for you, click on "Me", choose a start date and make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Submit" to ask the system to accept your information.  Then look under the grey bar to make sure your name appears there.  Repeat for your gift subscription, entering all required fields.

If you were gifted a subscription:

  1. Did you receive an email letting you know you were being given a gift subscription?  Your username (email address) and password are included in this letter).  You will receive the email 2 days prior to the start date chosen by your gift-giver.
  2. Did you get the letter but the Daily Greeting emails aren't starting 2 days later?  See our advice on Whitelisting.
  3. If this does not work, please contact your gift-giver and have them verify the steps in the section above to make sure your subscription was activated.

b) Your Daily Greeting does not appear as shown here, with the image of the day and an active "Enter" link to the e-calendar.

Some email programs are defaulted to only show text.  Check your email program's Message Viewing Options(wording will vary), and select the options worded similarly to: "Display attached images with message" and "Show html version by default".  If this does not work, contact your email service provider for more assistance.

c) You are having trouble logging in.
Username: Your Username is your email address.

  • Sometimes, if you cut and paste your address from your email program, it will accidentally grab an extra space.  Try typing in your email address instead.
  • Please make sure to use the same email address as 1) when you purchased the e-calendar, or 2) where you received your e-Calendar Gift email letter.
  • Once logged in, you can change your username to the email address you would rather use for your e-calendar subscription.  You can do this in Edit Account Info.

Password: If you are the one who purchased the e-calendar, your Password is the one you chose in the checkout process.  If you have received the e-calendar as a gift, your password was included in the email you first received from poolofpossibilities@courtneymilne.com .

  • Once logged in, you can change your password in the Edit Account Info section.
  • If you have forgotten your password, click on the phrase Forgot Password on the login page.  Then enter your email address and click to continue.  The system will automatically send another confidential password to your email inbox within minutes.
  • If you haven't forgotten your password but the system somehow doesn't want to recognize the one you have, try the Forgot Password suggestion above to see if you can access the e-calendar with a new password.
  • Use the "Remember Me" checkbox to avoid having to login every time. It is possible that your browser will sometimes lose access to the "cookies" on your computer that retains this information.  In this case, it will ask you to login again. Please keep your password handy for such occasions. Click here if you're having trouble with the Remember Me function or want more information on cookie settings.

    d) You are unable to view the e-Calendar because of a message asking you to enable JavaScript.
To view the e-Calendar you need to enable JavaScript in your web browser. This is different for every browser.

  • Many computers already have JavaScript installed, but it may not be enabled.  Go into your web browser's Help section and type in "Enable JavaScript" to get instructions on how to activate it. (In Safari, for example, you can go to the Preferences -> Security window to select "Enable JavaScript".)
  • If you discover that your computer doesn't have JavaScript installed, you can use Google.com to search for a free JavaScript download compatible to your computer/operating system.

e) The "Remember Me" login function isn't working.
For "Remember Me" to work, you need:

  • to have your browser cookies enabled.  Go to your web browser's Preferences menu.  You'll find your cookies settings in the Security or Privacy section (different for different browsers). Although the wording is different for different browsers, check to make sure your cookies are not set to delete after  a day or something like that. In some browsers, you can also go to the Sites setting to ask it to allow cookies from www.courtneymilne.com .
  • to remain logged in.  When you're done with your daily e-calendar experience, do not click Logout.  This is for those accessing the calendar on public computers.
